Blood Type Diet
Designed by the American naturopath Peter D'Adamo and rediscovered recently by Dr. Peter Mozzi, this diet is based on the assumption that the blood transporter of nutrients and immune cells, over thousands of years has adapted to the change of power and of human life.
According to this theory, the human species would not have survived the transition from hunter to farmer if her blood type had not adapted to this change, so each group (A, B, AB, Zero) has special characteristics that distinguish it and reflecting particular dietary habits.
Set their own diet based on blood type of membership would lose the pounds necessary to achieve your ideal weight and maintain them over time, because they eat what our body, according to the evolution of our blood type requires.
Blood Type Diet Zero
Probably the history of humankind originated in Africa more than 40,000 years ago with individuals of blood group Zero. Called the Hunter Group, because life was based mainly on hunting and gathering wild fruits and herbs. The person with zero blood type is therefore particularly suitable to follow a primarily carnivorous diet, high protein diets (eg. Zone Diet, Dukan Diet, etc.), To avoid being overweight should limit cereals and legumes, can consume fruits and vegetables, and should perform intense physical activity (such as the real primitive hunters!).
Recommended foods: meat, fish, fruit, vegetables (especially broccoli and spinach).
Foods to limit: cereals and legumes (especially wheat, corn, beans and lentils).
Physical Activity: intensto
Blood Type Diet A
The blood group A, the 'Farmer, appears between 25,000 and 15,000 years ago, when man passes from hunting to agriculture and livestock farming. The most suitable diet for these people is the vegetarian, also rich in cereals. Physical activity of Farmers was less heavy than that of the Hunters: D'Adamo recommends therefore to the people in this group to carry out the most relaxing sports activities.
Recommended foods: vegetables, fruit (especially pineapple), legumes, cereals, fish, vegetable oils, soybeans
Foods to limit: milk and dairy products, meat, wheat.
physical activity: moderate
Blood Type Diet B
Blood type B is the Nomad, appears between 15,000 and 10,000 years ago in the Himalayan heights, when it also began to spread the practice of pastoralism. Her diet was changed, provided the consumption of meat, cereals, milk and dairy products in general. According to D'Adamo, this is the group which is allowed to follow the most varied diet, defined balanced mixed, also including dairy products, because they are individuals who have the best immune and digestive system. They are recommended physical activity read, like tennis or swimming.
Recommended foods: meat (except chicken), eggs, dairy products, vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes.
Foods to limit: wheat, corn, lentils, peanuts
physical activity: endurance
Blood Type Diet AB
The AB Group is defined as the 'Enigmatic and stands on the highest rung of the evolutionary ladder: it would indeed appeared about 1,000 years ago, from the Group A mixture with the ANC B.h and the people belonging to this group may choose a fairly varied and balanced diet, defined mixed in moderation, following small steps.
Recommended foods: meat, fish (preferred), dairy products (preferred), fruits, grains, legumes, seaweed.
Foods to limit: red meat, oil seeds, beans, corn, buckwheat
physical activity: moderate
The theory of D'Adam at the base of the Diet of Blood Group derives from the fundamental assumption that in some foods are contained special proteins called lectins, capable of differently influence the various blood group. Everyone, according to their blood type, proves intolerant of certain lectins specific that should be to attack the red blood cells agglutinandoli. The effect would be almost like a small blood transfusion from a donor with a different blood type, and not compatible. Such damage would explain the origin of food intolerance and disorders related to poor dietary choices.
In fact, scientific studies have revealed that these assumptions are not confirmable. It was found in fact that various kinds of lectins would be contained simultaneously in almost all foods, for which they would not be able to damage one determined blood group.
