It is necessary to adopt a detox regime to detoxify our body of toxins – we hear it every January and after the summer, after the excesses of the festive and holiday season.

It sounds very attractive to clean our body the body after a period of excesses.

The nutritionist Elizabeth Stewart explains:

“Our bodies constantly filtering, break down and expel toxins and waste products. These can include alcohol, drugs, products of metabolism and digestion, dead cells, chemicals, pollution and bacteria. This is done in our body constantly to detoxify the liver, kidneys, skin, intestine and lungs. All these toxins are eliminated from the body within a few hours of their consumption in the form of feces, urine and sweat there is no scientific evidence that a detox diet helps rid the body of toxins more quickly. ”

The bottom line: Myth

The body is designed to be ‘self-cleaning’. If you ate a lot of junk, or have been drinking soft drinks or alcohol food, you will probably feel really better just to do it again.
